Premium Culture Buildings’ Costs Reduction

1. Hey everyone, As you know, since Eldian Sapphires (ES) were recently introduced as part of the Spire of Eternity rewards, you can now use them to purchase or get discounts on Premium Culture Buildings (PCB) which were only available for Diamonds before. Starting tomorrow however, we will improve this further, by making buildings significantly more accessible across the board! We hope you’ll enjoy these changes, especially if you're on more advanced chapters! Here’s a summary:

   Eldian Sapphires & Diamonds

   • Each Eldian Sapphire will be worth 15 Diamonds. This will make it much easier to understand PCB costs and ES discounts when purchasing a new building.
     • To make this adjustment, we had to round up some PBC’s Diamonds costs, so they match the ES to Diamonds conversion values (1 to 15). The two cases in which this is more noticeable are the Symphony of the Swamp, which increases by 200 Diamonds (from 2800 to 3000), and the Grab Rap Shroom, which increases by 160 Diamonds (from 1190 to 1350). Most adjustments are in the range of 2-10 Diamonds though, and if you have some ES you might even not notice this change at all. In fact, you might only see the new lower costs.

   • For chapters 1-3 as well as 6 and 7, costs in ES will decrease on average around 40%. For chapters 4 and 5 they will decrease by around 60%. The costs in Diamonds will stay similar for most buildings, as stated above.
   • From chapter 8 on, costs in ES will stay the same but costs in Diamonds will decrease. The reduction starts at around 15% in chapter 8, and goes up to 38% on virtually all PCB, after chapter 10. This means reductions of over 1000, 2000 or 3000 Diamonds in some cases.
   • Since we decreased the ES required to purchase PCB in chapters 1-5, we also lowered the amount of ES received in the chapter chests (chapters 2-5) by 50%.

   Refunds:

   • Due to this significant reduction in ES costs for the early chapters, we had to rework the refunds of smaller and more accessible PCB to avoid Royal Restoration exploits. So, all PCB until chapter 5 as well as 1x1 PCB of higher chapters will refund you Spell Fragments instead of Royal Restorations. All others remain untouched. You will receive around 44 Spell Fragments per ES when selling these early or small PCB.

   With these lower costs, purchasing and replacing PCB for your city throughout your progress to higher chapters will be much easier and accessible – especially if you participate in the Spire of Eternity!
